The Milwaukee Bucks will once again be without Giannis Antetokounmpo as the Phoenix Suns make their sole visit of the season to the Bradley Center on Monday.

There wouldn’t have many Milwaukee Bucks fans at the start of the season who’d have expected their team to be in a battle to make the playoffs over halfway through the season, yet that’s where the Bucks find themselves.

The Phoenix Suns will visit Milwaukee in the Bucks’ 46th game of the season on Monday night, and with just one game separating the eighth placed Bucks and the ninth placed Pistons, Milwaukee has already reached the point in the season when it would be a really good idea to avoid unnecessary slip-ups.

Under normal circumstances, that’s exactly how the prospect of losing to the Suns would be described, but Monday’s game won’t quite take place under normal circumstances for the Bucks.

More from Bucks News

Having missed Saturday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, All-Star starter Giannis Antetokounmpo is scheduled to miss his second straight game as the Bucks continue to manage his knee pain. On a brighter note, Malcolm Brogdon is expected to return having missed Saturday’s game due to personal reasons.

Of course, one of the leading subplots on Monday will be the return of Brogdon’s former running mate, as Greg Monroe will be back in Milwaukee for the first time since November’s trade. Moose hasn’t been getting much floor time recently, but his former teammates and the fans in attendance will surely be happy to see him back in the building.

With all of that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the action ahead, and how things might play out on Monday as the Suns make the trip to the Bradley Center.
