In their first game following Jason Kidd‘s dismissal, the Milwaukee Bucks overcame a slow start to beat the Phoenix Suns on Monday night.

Playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo for the second straight game and dealing with the significant upheaval that had unfolded prior to the game, it perhaps would have been understandable if the Milwaukee Bucks had struggled to perform on Monday night.

In the early stages of their game with the Phoenix Suns, it seemed as if some kind of post-Jason Kidd hangover may have been in effect as the Suns got off to a 10-2 start before Joe Prunty was forced to call his first timeout of his latest spell as interim coach.

To the team’s credit, though, they regained their composure and certainly looked to grow in confidence as the game went on.

A really balanced scoring performance from the team on Saturday wasn’t enough to overcome the 76ers, but on Monday the Bucks were able to draw on multiple standout individual showings, and to a more positive result on the whole.

Khris Middleton followed up his first career triple-double with a 35-point game, while Malcolm Brogdon returned from his one game absence to pour in a career-high 32 points as well.

Although the final few minutes ended up being a little bit nervier than Prunty arguably would have hoped for, behind the play of Middleton and Brogdon, Milwaukee was able to close the game out and secure an important win.

How did the players perform individually on Monday, though? Let’s take a closer look.
