Major key for Milwaukee – Regroup mentally

With no official update on Thursday night’s injuries as of this time of writing, the focus for the Bucks needs to be simple.

The Bucks will certainly be without Malcolm Brogdon following his non-contact injury against the Timberwolves, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s description of his twisted ankle in that same game makes it unlikely that he’ll play, and Eric Bledsoe will essentially be a gametime decision with his own ankle injury.

That completely alters any normal gameplan the Bucks might have, and as such, Friday’s game will fall into some of sport’s oldest cliches as being akin to a test of spirit and resolve for Milwaukee’s players.

The crowd in the Bradley Center will provide obvious energy for Jabari Parker’s return and the players will need to channel it into a catalyst for their play on the court. This matchup with the Knicks could represent a chance for some of Milwaukee’s deeper rotation guys to show what they can do, and the Bucks will have to hope they prove capable of seizing that opportunity.
