A comfortable win for the Milwaukee Bucks was somewhat marred by injuries, as they prevailed 109-94 over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.

The Milwaukee Bucks moved to 6-1 under interim head coach Joe Prunty on Sunday, following a win in an unusually early start against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center.

An early game against one of the NBA’s lesser teams used to be the kind of matchup that would set up for near certain disappointment for the Bucks, but the players looked motivated and ready to go from the opening tip in Brooklyn, and controlled the game in a wire-to-wire win.

Much like in the game at the Bradley Center nine days earlier, the Nets did find some life to put together a third quarter charge, but Milwaukee kept their composure and ultimately saw off the threat for a comfortable win.

While there are plenty of positives in the Bucks continuing to take care of business and building on their recent good run, there were reasons for concern to emerge from Sunday’s win too.

In the second half, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Matthew Dellavedova and John Henson all picked up injuries of potentially varying severity, which could significantly deplete the resources of a team already dealing with the absence of Malcolm Brogdon and Mirza Teletovic.

The Bucks will be hoping for the best in all cases, and there are already positive signs for Antetokounmpo and Henson, but either way the show will have to go on as they face off with the other New York team on Tuesday.
