The Milwaukee Bucks were the first team to make a deal as trade deadline week got underway in the NBA, with news breaking on Monday evening that they’d addressed a long-standing need at center.
The Bucks acquired Tyler Zeller from the Brooklyn Nets, sending Rashad Vaughn and a future second round pick to the rebuilding team in return.
The news was first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, and has since been officially announced by the team.

While Zeller isn’t the kind of name, or indeed player, who is set to thrill fans and set Milwaukee alight with his play, he’s an experienced, solid veteran who can offer the Bucks meaningful minutes at a position of need.
Rashad Vaughn had been failing to get any meaningful opportunity in Milwaukee this year after two seasons of incredibly underwhelming contributions, and therefore, it wasn’t all that surprising to see him move on.
