The Milwaukee Bucks head into the All-Star break with a loss as they were dominated by Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.

While the Milwaukee Bucks produced an excellent offensive performance on Thursday night, they were still comfortably bettered by their opponents’ play on that end to be denied a win heading into the All-Star break.

The Bucks came up against a Denver Nuggets team at the top of their form as, through a combination of their own ingenuity and an accommodating Bucks’ defense, they managed to set a season-high for three-point makes en route to an impressive 134-123 win.

The driving force for Denver was their star center Nikola Jokic, who recorded the fastest triple-double in NBA history on a night that will comfortably rank as one of the best performances of his career.

Jokic was at the center of virtually everything that was good for the Nuggets, and the Bucks had no answer as to how to stop him.

That’s not to say that Milwaukee didn’t have their own share of impressive individual displays, though, as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Eric Bledsoe both did everything in their power to match Jokic, and Tyler Zeller also stood out off the bench.

With all of that in mind, let’s take a deeper dive into the action, and explore some of the key takeaways from Thursday’s game.
