Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to game action on Sunday afternoon looking no worse for wear, as the Milwaukee Bucks picked up a victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
The Milwaukee Bucks came back home on Sunday to face the San Antonio Spurs, looking to build on their victory over Chicago on Friday night. Thanks to the return of Giannis Antetokounmpo, and big performances from Eric Bledsoe and Khris Middleton; the Bucks were able to control much of the game and win.
The Spurs came into Sunday afternoon’s contest as winners of their previous six games. The Bucks have played their share of quality opponents of late, and have struggled for the most part in those instances. Sunday, however showcased a different looking Bucks team that was able to create leads of double-digits rather than trailing by them.
The Bucks who have been notoriously awful in first quarters for what seems like the entire post-All-Star portion of the season, actually controlled that frame. Outscoring the Spurs to the tune of 27-15.

Milwaukee followed up the strong first with efficient offense, and opportunistic defense until about halfway through the fourth quarter. It was at this time that the Spurs engine really began to purr.
Finishing the game on a 10-4 run, San Antonio had the opportunity to send the game to overtime on the final possession. Dejounte Murray‘s three-point attempt came well short, and Milwaukee was able to hang on.
With all that being said, let’s take a closer look at the Milwaukee players’ individual performances on Sunday afternoon.
