The Milwaukee Bucks added to the Golden State Warriors’ losing ways by taking a key victory on Thursday night in the second game of their West Coast trek.
Despite getting All-Star reinforcements in time for the duel, the Milwaukee Bucks piled on to the Golden State Warriors’ losing slump by clinching a 116-107 win late on Thursday night in Oracle Arena.
It was the Bucks who struck first and fast as they quickly hit to double digits within the game’s first three minutes. But the Warriors shook off their early rust by rattling off a rather unmatched run to take the lead at the 7:16 mark of the first.
From there, the Bucks shadowed the Warriors’ every move until breaking through late in the period to take a 29-27 advantage after one.

That pattern carried over into the second as the Bucks quickly lost possession of their lead, but managed to keep within distance of the Warriors for the bulk of quarter.
After knotting things up at 47 at the 2:24 mark of the period, the Bucks peeled off a 11-2 run to take a 58-49 lead heading into halftime, which was capped off by Warriors superstar Kevin Durant‘s ejection in the final seconds of the half.
The Bucks took full advantage of the Warriors being without their leading offensive force for the remainder of the night, as they boosted their lead well into double digits all throughout the third quarter. Despite a few runs here and there by the Warriors, the Bucks held a 92-72 lead with 12 minutes to go.
While the Bucks were able to put their foot down on the gas during the opening minutes of the fourth, that didn’t hold well into the frame as the Warriors improbably whittled down the gap, giving Bucks fans plenty of concern after having seeing this show many times before.
However, it proved to be fleeting as the Warriors were unable to draw down their double-digit deficit, leaving the Bucks with an unexpected, but crucial victory in the Bay Area.
So without further ado, let’s dive deeper into the Bucks’ win over the Golden State Warriors from Thursday night.
