While there were shaky moments in the end, the Milwaukee Bucks were able to finish off a shorthanded Boston Celtics team on Tuesday night to officially tally their second straight winning season.

Coming off their disastrous defeat last time out, the Milwaukee Bucks were able to hold on late against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night, winning 106-102.

While they may have entered the night even more shorthanded than they already had been, the Celtics came out with a purpose early on by getting out in front of the Bucks in the opening minutes of the game. The Bucks spent the rest of the period trying to whittle the gap down to mixed success as they trailed 31-26 after one.

The Celtics did their best to keep their lead at arm’s length from the Bucks for the first several minutes of the second.

However, the Bucks eventually broke through at the 4:42 mark of the quarter to hold their first substantial lead of the night, which they carried into halftime as they led 58-56.

Both the Bucks and Celtics were stuck in mud for the majority of minutes in the third quarter. But once again, the Bucks shook off their early second half rust by going on a 13-5 run in the period’s final four minutes and 49 seconds.

Holding a 79-71 advantage with 12 minutes to go, the Bucks fended off the Celtics’ pushes throughout the frame by putting home timely shots of their own when needed. That’s not to say things didn’t get tense as the Celtics were able to make it a one possession game within the final minute of play, but that’s as far as their comeback attempt went on the Bucks’ watch.

So without further ado, let’s dive deeper into the Bucks’ win over the Boston Celtics from Tuesday night.
