After a night of surprising losses from their rivals in the battle for playoff seeding, the Milwaukee Bucks will be looking for a win in New York on Saturday.

As the Milwaukee Bucks wind down their regular season, they have a golden opportunity to move up the standings heading into the playoffs.

While the Bucks put their feet up on Friday night in advance of their Saturday clash with the New York Knicks, a whole host of games with real significance for Milwaukee took place, and arguably  all of the results fell in their favor.

Over the past few weeks, there has been plenty of talk about how every team in the 6-8 range wanted to avoid Cleveland, but a Cavaliers loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night means that it’s increasingly likely Cleveland will now finish in fourth place.

More from Bucks News

With sixth place offering the chance for the Bucks to keep their first round pick in this year’s draft, Friday losses for the Wizards against the Hawks and the Heat against the Miami has opened the door for Milwaukee.

If the Bucks hadn’t had their own mistake on Thursday against the Nets, they may already have had one foot in that door, but on Saturday they’ll have to put that behind them and focus on the task at hand.

Giannis Antetokounmpo may have struggled against the Nets on Thursday, but can a visit to Madison Square Garden rekindle the kind of magic he has regularly produced in that building in the past? Milwaukee will certainly hope so.

With all of that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the action ahead, and see which team can prevail on Saturday night.
