The Milwaukee Bucks will close the regular season on Wednesday night with a matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers that will decide both teams’ playoff seeding.
It’s taken 81 games to get to this point, and just like so many other games across both conferences on Wednesday night, the matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers is a great example of just how much still remains undecided heading into the post-season.
The Bucks are guaranteed to finish with no worse than the NBA’s sixth best record, but by virtue of not owning the tiebreakers against either the Miami Heat or Washington Wizards, they could still finish anywhere between sixth and eighth.
The simplest possible outcome for Milwaukee would be for them to just take care of their own business. A win in Philadelphia would secure the sixth seed for the Bucks, even though it would increase the likelihood of the 76ers slipping to fourth and swapping places with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In other words, there’s a lot to play for on Wednesday night, and the outcome of this game could be something that either or potentially even both teams could look back on and rue by the time their postseason adventure finishes for the year.
As for the game itself, the 76ers will be without Joel Embiid, while the Bucks may still be without Giannis Antetokounmpo too. Of the four meetings between the two teams this season, those two players have only both played in one of those games.
With all of that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the action ahead, and see which team can prevail on Wednesday night.
