In a thrilling game that improbably finished up in overtime, how did the Milwaukee Bucks perform in their Game 1 loss to the Boston Celtics?

Game 1 in TD Garden won’t be forgotten all that quickly, but unfortunately for the Milwaukee Bucks, it didn’t start the series with what would have been a crucial win over the Boston Celtics.

In a game that showcased the best and worst of both teams, and featured a display of exceptional shot-making late in regulation, the Celtics just managed to find an extra gear to secure a win in overtime.

The fact that the game ended up in overtime to begin with was unbelievable, though.

More from Bucks News

The Celtics seemed to have the game all wrapped up when Terry Rozier knocked down a three after crossing up Eric Bledsoe with just 0.5 seconds remaining, but Khris Middleton capped off a top-tier individual performance with a miracle three-pointer of his own to send the game to an extra period.

En route to that point, the matchup between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Al Horford proved to be just as fascinating as everyone anticipated. Horford likely had the overall edge in Game 1, but Antetokounmpo still proved it’s impossible to prevent him from making an impact. Even if it’s by sheer force of will, Giannis seems like a guarantee to deliver.

With all of that in mind, let’s set the stage for Game 2 by taking a closer look at the individual performances for the Bucks, as well as how Joe Prunty and the Celtics performed on the night.
