Milwaukee Bucks 2017-18 Season Review: Jason Terry
By Adam McGee
Jason Terry provides the Milwaukee Bucks with great leadership off the court, but was his on-court production up to the standard expected this season?
Having made a surprisingly big impact with his sharpshooting and leadership in his first season with the Milwaukee Bucks, it seemed logical that Jason Terry would come back for the 2017-18 season.
In the end, that’s exactly what transpired too, although it took some time with Terry not re-signing in Milwaukee until September 15.
Considering his familiarity with the system, his coach and teammates, it would seem difficult to blame that factor for Terry’s sluggish start to the season, but the veteran did struggle to make an impact early on all the same.

Terry did grow into a role similar to his first season in Milwaukee as the year progressed, particularly under Joe Prunty, but he still fell short of the high marks in shooting he set in 2016-17.
The season finished with Terry averaging 3.3 points, 1.2 assists, 0.9 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 16.0 minutes per game. In his 51 games, Terry also shot 38.3 percent from the field, 34.8 percent from deep and 88.9 percent from the free throw line.
Terry also played in three playoff games, most notably logging 20 minutes in a Game 7 against the Boston Celtics.
With all of the basics covered, let’s dig a little deeper to get the whole picture of Jason Terry’s 2017-18 season.
