With reports suggesting members of Mike Budenholzer’s assistant coaching staff could be joining him with the Milwaukee Bucks, what can they bring to the team?

Mike Budenholzer was officially announced as the Milwaukee Bucks’ new head coach on Thursday, and with that, one of the most pressing questions surrounding the team is how he will fill out his coaching staff.

On Wednesday, prior to reports of a Bucks’ agreement with Budenholzer, I wrote about the importance of Milwaukee extending their coaching overhaul to a top-tier assistant staff. With Budenholzer, reports suggest they may be lucky enough to have such a group move across to Atlanta as a ready-made unit.

Of course, that’s not to say the Bucks and Budenholzer couldn’t and shouldn’t add other new voices to proceedings ahead of the new season.

Likewise, there’s a possibility that some of Milwaukee’s current staff could stay on under new leadership. As the draft combine continued in Chicago on Thursday, Vin Baker, Greg Foster and Stacey Augmon were all present in some capacity or another.

Equally up for debate is the future of Budenholzer’s Atlanta staff. As Lloyd Pierce was unveiled as that franchise’s new head coach on Monday, Charles Lee, Ben Sullivan and Patrick St. Andrews were all said to be in attendance. What that means for their futures or the futures of those who were absent remains to be seen, and both Pierce and Hawks GM spoke about the need to build a staff at that same press conference.

Still, with all of that considered there is a strong possibility that at least some of Budenholzer’s former assistants will again reunite with him in Milwaukee. With that in mind, let’s take a closer a look at who they are, what they specialize in, and what they may have to offer to the Bucks.
