After battling through inconsistencies and injuries over the last couple of years, Milwaukee Bucks big man John Henson made the most of his most featured season of his career so far.

As any fan of the Milwaukee Bucks can attest to, the story of John Henson had gone particularly sideways over the last couple of seasons.

Whether it was a flurry of injuries, a growing lack of confidence, his inconsistent play or all of the above, Henson’s place on the Bucks had become increasingly muddled after falling in and out of the team’s rotation during that span of time.

With the eight-digit salary figure attached to his name being brought up regularly by frustrated Bucks fans after witnessing his extended cold spells, it had increasingly felt like a change of scenery would be to the benefit of North Carolina-born Henson following the end of last season.

Trade rumors over the course of last offseason only served to heighten the possibility of seeing a move involving Henson finally come to pass, but in the end, they came and went for a variety of factors.

All of that, however, set the stage for what ended up being a quasi-resurgent campaign for Henson with the Bucks during the 2017-18 season.

A combination of a strong individual preseason, being reinserted in the Bucks’ starting lineup and the midseason move to send Greg Monroe to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Eric Bledsoe opened up the most consistent playing time opportunities for Henson in his career, which he largely did well in capitalizing on throughout the year.

So without further ado, let’s reflect back on John Henson’s season with the Milwaukee Bucks by looking at the highs and lows of his season, his best performance of the year and see where he can possibly go from here.
