The Milwaukee Bucks were dealt a crushing defeat late by the Philadelphia 76ers in Las Vegas Saturday night, which closed out their Summer League excursion on a down note.

Close to advancing further in this year’s tournament, the Milwaukee Bucks were handed a heartbreaking Summer League loss by the Philadelphia 76ers Saturday night in Las Vegas, losing 91-89.

The Bucks got off to a very encouraging start as they reached double digits three-and-a-half minutes into the night and left the 76ers to have to play catch up from there. That continued throughout the rest of the quarter as the Bucks led 18-11 after one.

Despite a brief run by the Bucks near the start of the second quarter, the 76ers eventually rallied to keep pace with the Bucks midway through the period, which lasted until both teams went into halftime.

Holding a one-point lead to start the second half, the Bucks found themselves having to stem the 76ers’ tide as Philadelphia broke through to take possession of the lead near the start of the third quarter.

Before long, the Bucks were left reeling and faced a 67-59 deficit at the end of the third, seemingly on the ropes.

However, the Bucks staged an impressive comeback run to begin the final frame to regain the lead at the 7:09 mark, which they reinforced throughout the majority of the period. Up 88-80 with 1:05 left to go, the Bucks looked to be in the clear to move on, provided they put on the finishing touches.

As fate would have it, the 76ers clawed their way back in the game’s final minutes, thanks to the efforts of Isaiah Miles and wing Furkan Korkmaz, who delivered the crushing blows at the free-throw line and near the rim. The Bucks were unable to put together a last-ditch effort to possibly tie it up as their designed out of bounds play to Christian Wood evaded his grasp in the final seconds of the night.

So without further ado, let’s take a deeper look at the Bucks’ loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, dive deep into the performances of the players currently on their roster, hand out player of the game honors and put a bow on their Summer League trip this year.
