The latest episode of our Win In 6 Podcast arrives as we reflect on the factors that led to Jabari Parker‘s departure.

The latest episode of our Win In 6 Podcast arrives as Jabari Parker’s time with the Milwaukee Bucks comes to an end, and he signs a two-year, $40 million deal with his hometown Chicago Bulls.

Parker’s free agency was the biggest question hanging over the Bucks this summer, and seemed capable of lasting long into the summer, but with a relatively speedy resolution, the Bucks can now look to the future and plan their direction without the former second overall pick.

The decision facing Milwaukee and the various factors that led to that point were far from simple, though, as the eventual outcome was shaped by years of misfortune and accumulated baggage on both sides.

More from Bucks News

To get started on this occasion, we considered the deal from the perspective of the three relevant parties: Parker, the Bulls and the Bucks.

From there, we touched on all of the various circumstances and strangeness that led to the departure of a player who was once thought of as a central piece of the franchise’s long-time future.

While lastly, we touched on why so many of the larger narratives attached to the relationship of Parker and the Bucks lack the context required to make for an accurate read on what was a uniquely complicated situation.

Joining me for this episode, and preparing another of his now infamous odes, was Jordan Treske.
