Now that he’s been officially brought on as a two-way player for the Milwaukee Bucks, we get to know undrafted point guard Trevon Duval and all that has transpired that has led him to where he is today.

While the NBA offseason has gradually ground down akin to dying embers at this stage, the Milwaukee Bucks are fresh from making an interesting move as it relates to the latter end of their roster.

On Tuesday afternoon, it was reported that the Bucks have brought in one-and-done Duke guard Trevon Duval on a two-way contract, which the team made official in the early evening.

A highly regarded recruit coming out of the IMG Academy in Florida, Duval made waves by being named a McDonald’s All-American in his senior season as well as participating in the Jordan Brand Classic.

On the college level, Duval made the decision to play for Duke University where he played alongside lottery picks from this year’s draft in Marvin Bagley and Wendell Carter Jr., senior guard and first round pick Grayson Allen as well as second round pick, Gary Trent Jr.

While his teammates launched their pro careers on draft night this year, Duval didn’t get the chance to celebrate the start of his career in the same style as he unfortunately became the first one-and-done player from Duke to go undrafted.

After enduring that initial stumble to his professional career, Duval has now landed on his feet in Milwaukee over a week after finishing up his run playing for the Houston Rockets in this year’s Summer League in Las Vegas.

As much of a blow as it felt to not hear his name called on draft night, Duval was quick to pivot towards the positive of being able to dictate where he could go to start off his professional career as he explained to Parth Upadhyaya of the Houston Chronicle during his brief time with the Rockets:

"“I get the chance to pretty much scout who I want to play for in a way for Summer League,” Duval said. “It can benefit me, with choosing what type of playing style or whatever type of team I want to join.”"

So now that he’s Milwaukee bound, let’s get to learn more about Trevon Duval, what all has gone on throughout his basketball journey and how it’s now led him to becoming a member of the Bucks.
