The Milwaukee Bucks will close out their preseason schedule by hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves and their traveling circus on Friday night.

The Milwaukee Bucks will return to Fiserv Forum for just their second game in their new home on Friday night, equipped with another serene and uneventful week or so of preseason action and training camp preparations under their belt.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves will make their first visit to the Forum following less than a week since they lost to the Bucks in Iowa, but with what will feel like a year’s worth of headlines surrounding their less than ideal preparations.

Minnesota’s failure (or success, depending on your perspective) to find a trade partner in a Jimmy Butler deal has acted as a major disruption as the team heads into the season, leaving the Timberwolves as a team who may not just lose their star player, but also be less suitably prepared as a collective because of the sideshow that situation created.

With all of that considered, the Bucks should be the favorite to come away with a win on Friday and from there to go on to a more successful season between the two, but by no means does that mean the Timberwolves are short on talent.

Karl-Anthony Towns provided more than ample evidence of that in a star turn during the two teams’ previous preseason meeting, while Jeff Teague, Andrew Wiggins and Taj Gibson are all more than capable of exerting their influence on proceedings too.

With the Bucks likely to be close to full-strength having rested their marquee talents against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, the game should at least have a refreshing intensity from a Milwaukee perspective as they ready for the beginning of this year’s run.

With all of that mind, let’s take a closer look at some of the key elements to watch out for from Friday’s matchup.
