Entering his sixth season with the Milwaukee Bucks and with a new role to adjust to as well, we hand out five goals for John Henson to accomplish throughout the 2018-19 NBA season.

The various ups and downs John Henson has experienced throughout his six seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks have been well documented to this point.

Whether it’s been hitting an extended rough patch or suffering an injury at an inopportune time, Henson’s inconsistencies have been a steady through line to this point in his stay in Milwaukee, and the league as a whole.

Now coming off a solid season where he displayed some long overdue jumps in his performance after having back-to-back lost seasons, Henson enters the 2018-19 season with some added competition.

The reshaped frontcourt the Bucks will sport coming into the campaign casts a cloud over how great of a role Henson will have entering the year and that’s without factoring in the ongoing training camp battle for the last roster spot too.

The addition of Brook Lopez as well as the return of Ersan Ilyasova will give the team some much need spacing and shooting around superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo from both frontcourt positions, two things Henson is far from having established in his arsenal.

But to his credit and perhaps unsurprisingly, Henson has welcomed the two biggest additions such as he did during this year’s Bucks Media Day, even if it does cut across his playing time under new head coach Mike Budenholzer:

"“I think it’s great for us. Personally, I had a tough time guarding Brook the past few years, so I’m glad he’s on the team, and then Ers, he was here my rookie year so I’ve learned a lot from him from afar, and I’m excited to have both of the guys here.”"

Where Henson will try to fit in the equation under the new coaching regime will be something to monitor throughout the year, but hopefully there will be room for his contributions, should his level of play convey into his seventh season with the Bucks.

So without further ado, let’s assign five goals for John Henson to achieve throughout the 2018-19 season.
