Milwaukee Bucks fans had endured a long wait before getting the chance to see their team play a competitive game in their new state-of-the-art home building, but as they filed out of Fiserv Forum on Friday night there was little doubt that it had all been worth it.
As the new arena acted as a noisy and vibrant backdrop, the new-look Bucks delivered a performance filled with life and likely to generate some noise around the wider NBA too.

The Pacers could have been far from an ideal opponent for the Bucks’ home opener, as a plucky Eastern Conference upstart with all of the talent required to spoil any potential party atmosphere.
Yet outside of a slightly slow start for the Bucks, the Pacers spent most of the game trailing, and by large margins too.
The Bucks delivered a franchise record 47 three-point attempts, and their 17 makes were just one less than the Pacers managed to attempt in total. Milwaukee also dominated on the boards, in transition, and in the paint, leaving Indiana with no real avenue to provide resistance as the game progressed.
As a result, the Bucks were able to secure a convincing win against a high caliber opponent, and they did so with minimal stress.
So, without further ado, let’s take a closer look at three of the standout elements from Friday’s victory.
