Milwaukee Bucks: Should a potential Bradley Beal trade be explored?

Bradley Beal, the young all-star guard from the Washington Wizards, is reportedly available. Should the Milwaukee Bucks consider trading for him?

On Monday morning, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that in response to their abysmal start to the season, the Washington Wizards are now open to trading their all-star backcourt of John Wall and Bradley Beal, if presented with the right offer.

Wojnarowski isn’t reporting that the Wizards are actively trying to get rid of Beal and Wall, but rather they’re open to trading one or both of the All-Stars under the right circumstances. Considering the disastrous start to the Wizards’ season, it’s not all that surprising as it seems the team has gone as far as it can go with the duo.

To make matters worse for Washington, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that things have been getting a little tense at practice recently for the Wizards.

That may not equate to Jimmy Butler telling every Minnesota Timberwolves player how soft he thinks they are, but the Wizards certainly seem to be headed in that direction. As the Wizards continue to fall to the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings and relationships between players and coaches deteriorate, a change seems more likely than not.

Here’s where the Milwaukee Bucks could come in. With a couple of former All-Stars now reportedly on the trade block, should the Bucks make a call to the Wizards with an offer for Wall or Beal?

Although John Wall has had the more prolific career, Beal is the more attractive player because of his age (25-years-old to Wall’s 28), health, and his superior fit in an NBA focused on outside shooting and perimeter defense.

So, should the Bucks go after Bradley Beal?

The easy and simple answer is yes. Beal is a really good player and if you have an opportunity to add a player of his caliber to your team, you at least explore how viable it is to make a deal a reality. But, of course, things are not so simple.

Let’s lay out why the Bucks should, and why the Bucks should not, do everything they can to bring Beal to Milwaukee.
