In a nationally televised duel, the Milwaukee Bucks took care of business against the Boston Celtics Friday night at TD Garden to earn their fourth straight victory.

Riding a hot streak that eventually climbed to four games at night’s end, the Milwaukee Bucks thoroughly took care of the Boston Celtics Friday night with a 120-107 win in front of a national audience.

Things didn’t get off to the smoothest start for the Bucks as the Celtics raced out to a 10-1 lead at the 9:14 mark of the first quarter. Following a much needed timeout, the Bucks promptly regrouped and outscored the Celtics 34-12 from that point on in the period to give them a 35-22 lead after one.

The Bucks continued to separate themselves from the Celtics during the opening several minutes of the second quarter and led by as many as 26 with 4:50 to go in the first half.

While the Celtics were able to make some headway in what remained in the period, the Bucks took a comfortable 65-48 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Once play picked back up after the half, the Bucks had to fend off the expected Celtics comeback push.

That required Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to do the heavy lifting with the rest of his starting counterparts struggling to make their mark in the early going in the second half. It was a job well done as the Bucks held a 93-78 lead through three.

The Celtics continued to try and come within striking distance of the Bucks in the fourth frame, but Milwaukee held firm throughout and preserved their double-digit lead. Finally, with just less than two minutes to go, Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer pulled most of his starters with their 22nd win of the campaign firmly secured.

So without further ado, let’s dig into much of what stood out in the Bucks’ win over the Boston Celtics Friday night, starting with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s transcendent performance.
