The Milwaukee Bucks’ 2018 showed a team in dire need of a new direction, and the benefits of their overhaul last offseason are already evident by year’s end.

A happy New Year will soon be upon us and as we wait to see what’s in store for us all in 2019, it’s customary to reflect on the year that was. When the Milwaukee Bucks reflect on what 2018 represented for the organization, it will certainly elicit many feelings all across the spectrum.

Of course, the way a basketball season is constructed already tells a story in itself and multiple narratives can be fleshed out for all teams, no matter where they finish in the standings at the end of the season. But in this specific instance, the year 2018 represented such a fascinating picture for the Bucks, who very clearly reached an inflection point as a franchise.

That last note can be taken in a variety of ways as it relates to the Bucks, whether on or off the court.

As it relates to the former, a high profile firing in the form of the dismissal of Jason Kidd in the midst of a disappointing 2017-18 season ripped the band-aid off of one of the biggest concerns looming over the Bucks’ long-term trajectory.

Making such a decision only invites plenty of opportunities for the wrong circumstances to arise and raise more critical questions regarding the shape of the team’s roster, but the early returns in that regard have been more than just promising as we’re seeing through this point in the 2018-19 season.

But off the court, the brand of the Bucks has never been stronger in its 51 years of existence than it is at this very point in time. That’s certainly helped by the opening of a brand new, state of the art arena such as Fiserv Forum, which was borne out of keeping the team in the city of Milwaukee, and a superstar like Giannis Antetokounmpo, who’s in the midst of garnering MVP consideration for his monstrous play this season.

With all that and plenty more to dig into, as we will in this list, it’s simple to see the many fork in the road-like moments that defined the first portion of the Bucks’ 2018 ,and the first half of their 2018-19 season has shown us that they’ve come through on the right path that all of their fans have been hoping to see them go down.

So without further ado, why don’t we dig into the 10 most memorable Bucks moments and milestones that helped to shape their 2018?
