On the day the organization retired Marques Johnson‘s No. 8 jersey, the Milwaukee Bucks took their season series with the Cleveland Cavaliers at Fiserv Forum.
The Milwaukee Bucks coronated Marques Johnson’s jersey retirement by taking care of business versus the Cleveland Cavaliers with a 127-105 victory Sunday afternoon, their 55th of the season.
Milwaukee got off to a fast and furious start, thanks to a scorching start from long range. Eventually, the Bucks’ shooting cooled off as the first quarter wore on, and while the Cavaliers shook off the early rust in their performance, the Bucks held a 32-27 edge at the end of one.

Cleveland continued to keep pace with the Bucks at the start of the second quarter.
But the Bucks started to separate themselves from the Cavs again around the six-minute mark of the period, all of which led to the Bucks carrying a 68-55 advantage into the halftime break.
The Cavaliers didn’t appear deterred at the start of the second half as they got back to work to chip away at their lengthy deficit.
The Bucks, though, weren’t slowed down in the least and maintained a 90-77 lead through three.
After plenty of push and pull, despite the Bucks holding control throughout all of it, the fourth quarter saw the Bucks finally put away the Cavaliers and blow the game open in the waning moments of the day (which also saw two-way player Bonzie Colson II knock down his first NBA points of his career).
So without further ado, let’s break down what stood out the most in the Bucks’ win over the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday afternoon, starting with the Bucks’ ability to attack the Cavs’ interior defense time and time again.
