It caught many off guard when Ersan Ilyasova returned to the Milwaukee Bucks in free agency last summer, but how did he fare in his first season back?

Ersan Ilyasova has experienced a lot as a Milwaukee Bucks player over the years, but the success he tasted in the 2018-19 season was certainly something new.

Ilyasova won 60 games and reached the Conference Finals for the first time in his career as he opened up his third spell with the Bucks in very impressive fashion.

The 32-year-old remained one of Milwaukee’s more consistent rotation cogs throughout the season, offering up the kind of generally reliable and occasionally frustrating contributions that have been hallmarks of his career to date.

Ilyasova’s combination of shooting touch, size, and physicality saw him employed at both the power forward and center spots throughout the season, and he was similarly effective at either position.

Taking charges, tipping in offensive rebounds and fading away on baseline jumpers, Ilyasova’s season offered up plenty of familiar sights for Bucks fans, but in a more modest role than years’ past, he was arguably more effective than ever.

So without further ado, let’s dive into the good, the bad and the rest from Ersan Ilyasova’s 2018-19 season.
