Milwaukee Bucks: 5 forwards to target in free agency
By Adam McGee
The Milwaukee Bucks may look to bolster their forward depth with value deals in free agency, but who could they target at a low cost?
With Khris Middleton, Malcolm Brogdon and Brook Lopez all hitting free agency, it’s no secret how the Milwaukee Bucks will spend the most significant share of their money this summer.
Still, interesting offseason questions remain for the team beyond keeping their starting lineup together for the foreseeable future.

Milwaukee’s depth was a crucial component of their success in 2018-19 and finding effective ways to ensure their bench remains stocked with capable contributors remains important.
This time around, the challenge for Jon Horst will be to identify players who may be available for such spots on deals that will be no richer than the room exception, and will more frequently come in at the veteran minimum.
With such players, you get into a range where it’s tougher to project exactly what a player could be paid. On some occasions, just one team’s interest can be the difference between the mid-level and the minimum, and so the Bucks will have to be persistent in expressing interest in quality candidates and selling the opportunity to contend for a championship alongside the MVP.
From there, who knows what could happen.
I’ve already considered guard and wing targets in recent days, so on this occasion the focus switches over to the forward spots.
The Bucks’ lack of centers last year led to a constant crossover in minutes between forwards and centers, and with Lopez and Nikola Mirotic set for free agency, strengthening that area of the court further will likely be next on the list of priorities after more significant business is out of the way.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at five players the Bucks could formulate plans to sign over the next few weeks.
