With uncertainty at center going into free agency, the Milwaukee Bucks may be eager to seek out quality big men on value deals over the next few weeks.
When free agency opens on June 30, and Brook Lopez and Pau Gasol hit the open market, the Milwaukee Bucks will technically have no centers under contract on their roster.
That may not be an issue for long, particularly as there’s no shortage of motivation to get a deal wrapped up with Lopez once free agency gets underway, but it does emphasize the importance of adding some depth in that area of the floor ahead of next season.

Luckily for the Bucks, there may well be no shortage of appealing options available to them when it comes to big men, even in the incredibly limited price range Milwaukee will be operating in once they’ve hopefully retained their starters.
As the NBA has evolved in recent years, the value of big men has plummeted and even with the potential for a spending spree this summer, it’s not east to pick out too many centers who look set to earn really significant pay days.
Therefore, between the room exception and even with veteran minimum deals, the Bucks may yet end up with some quality options as free agency progresses.
Having already looked at the guards, wings, and forwards that could be in play for Milwaukee, let’s now turn our attention to the big men they may look to target.
