With a reported agreement set in place to re-sign with the Milwaukee Bucks, we react to and grade out Brook Lopez‘s return back to the Cream City.

Splash Mountain, by all accounts, is taking up a permanent residence with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Ahead of this year’s free agency period kicking off Sunday evening, the Bucks reportedly agreed to re-sign veteran big man Brook Lopez to a four-year, $52 million deal, which was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

More from Bucks News

Standing as one of the Bucks’ core free agents going into free agency, the need to retain Lopez was incredibly pertinent to Milwaukee’s roster construction and current window at contending for an NBA title.

Just a year after standing as one of the free agency bargain signings, Lopez’s arrival in Milwaukee completely transformed the Bucks’ system under head coach Mike Budenholzer with his ability to space the floor and protect the rim to incredibly valuable degrees.

And because of the fact that the Bucks didn’t hold his bird rights as he was preparing to hit the open market, their dealings, such as moving Tony Snell to the Detroit Pistons, to open up as much cap room as they could to retain Lopez’s services only showed how much of a priority he was in their offseason plans.

So without further ado, let’s dive into all aspects of the reported deal Brook Lopez has with the Bucks before giving it a final grade.
