The Milwaukee Bucks will reportedly be among the frontrunners for Kyle Korver when his buyout with the Phoenix Suns is completed.
After the signings of Robin Lopez and Wesley Matthews in recent days, another candidate has emerged for a potential veteran addition to the Milwaukee Bucks.
With the Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns agreeing to a trade that sees recent fourth overall pick Josh Jackson get a change of scenery, veteran wing Kyle Korver is also on the move, although he reportedly won’t be staying with the Suns for very long.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Korver and the Suns will negotiate a buyout that will allow him to hit the free agent market and look to land on more of a contender.
Wojnarowski also listed the current frontrunners to land Korver, noting the Bucks as among the current leading candidates alongside the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers.
That makes for a highly competitive group of potential suitors for Korver, all of whom also can make very distinct pitches to the sharpshooter on a personal level.
Korver is a California native, and signing with the Lakers would also see him reunite with LeBron James whom he played alongside with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
An agreement with the 76ers would see Korver return to the team he started his NBA career with, and potentially offer some nice symmetry in what could be his final year as a pro. In addition to his past with the 76ers, Korver did play alongside Philadelphia general manager Elton Brand in Atlanta too.
The Bucks will hope their own Atlanta ties will ultimately give them a chance to win out too. Korver enjoyed the best stretch of his career with the Hawks under the guidance of now Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer, and the two enjoyed a tremendous personal relationship througout that span.
The opportunity to slot in alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo should also be an appealing prospect for the 38-year-old, as that would seem like an ideal pairing to open up the floor and leave him with quality three-point looks.
Although well into the twilight of his career, Korver remains one of the game’s all-time great three-point shooter. His 42.9 percent career mark from deep is tremendously impressive, but in shooting 39.7 percent from distance last season, he also improved he can still deliver from range.
The Bucks still have multiple roster spots to fill out, and landing Korver would be another real bonus around the margins of free agency.
