The Milwaukee Bucks dropped their second game of Summer League as they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night in Las Vegas.
After taking a win and a loss from their first two Summer League games against the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers, respectively, the Milwaukee Bucks returned to action in Las Vegas on Monday.
This time around, it was the undefeated Minnesota Timberwolves who lay in wait, and by the time all was said and done, Pablo Prigioni‘s team’s undefeated record remained in tact.

The Bucks had cause to shake up their starting lineup for the first time of the tournament with D.J. Wilson healthy enough to start in his first appearance, and Matt Farrell making the leap to the starting five alongside him. That resulted in Elijah Bryant and Bonzie Colson moving to the bench, but Bryant, in particular, wouldn’t let that stop him from grabbing the limelight.
It was a tough night all around for the Bucks’ rostered players as Wilson, Sterling Brown, and two-way player Colson were all off their games.
That certainly played into the control that the Timberwolves were able to assert for the majority of the contest with NBA players such as Keita Bates-Diop, Josh Okogie and Mitch Creek all impressing.
Still, the Bucks did manage to make a meaningful rally in the fourth quarter as Bryant took over with a scintillating shooting display. It’s rare to see too many 30-point games with the reduced length of contests at Summer League, but the 24-year-old went one better by racking up 31 points.
In the end, that still proved not to be enough as the Timberwolves hung on to close out the win, but it at least made for a competitive final few minutes of action before the free throw game kicked in.
With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at three of the standout stories from the Bucks’ loss to the Timberwolves.
