Milwaukee Bucks: 5 lessons from 2019 NBA Summer League

With the Milwaukee Bucks’ Summer League run coming to an end on Friday night, what did we learn from the team’s experience in Las Vegas this year?
Having failed to make it through to the tournament rounds of the 2019 NBA Summer League, the Milwaukee Bucks’ play in Las Vegas came to an end for another year on Friday night.
The Bucks wrapped up their summer slate of action with a 99-84 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, leaving their record in Vegas to finish at 2-3 this year.

It was an unusual week or so from a Bucks perspective as both D.J. Wilson and Sterling Brown struggled in their three games of action, the Bucks had no new addition from this year’s draft to showcase, and their most recent draftee, Donte DiVincenzo, was sidelined through injury.
Still, there were occasional highlights to enjoy, and beyond that there are also bigger talking points to work through, and lessons that both the team and players can take forward over the remainder of the offseason, and beyond.
With that in mind, let’s reflect on the Bucks’ stay in Vegas this year and highlight some of the key things we’ve learned from Summer League.
