According to reports, the Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly filled their vacant two-way spot by agreeing to a deal with second-year wing/forward Cameron Reynolds.

After sitting on the sidelines for the last week following their early free agency frenzy, news has surfaced regarding the Milwaukee Bucks’ newest addition to their roster.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bucks have agreed to a two-way contract with second-year wing Cameron Reynolds as his agent, James Dunleavy, told the renowned newsbreaker.

Reynolds was recently waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves before the start of free agency after agreeing to a multi-year, non-guaranteed deal midway through last season.

In his brief stay in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Reynolds made a strong impression for a TImberwolves team that rode out what ended up being a tumultuous season, given the injuries they were dealing with among their wings and forwards (i.e. Robert Covington).

In his 19 appearances with the Timberwolves, Reynolds averaged 5 points on a slash line of .423/.412/.889, along with 1.6 rebounds, 0.7 assists across 13.6 minutes per game.

Before getting the call up to Minnesota, Reynolds spent the bulk of his rookie year campaign with the Stockton Kings after going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Reynolds did work with the Sacramento affiliate, primarily off the bench, by averaging 16 points on .463/.421/.780 shooting splits, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists across his 33 appearances in the G League last year. That production got him on the radar of the Timberwolves and he later signed a 10-day contract in late February.

Not only that, but Reynolds was included on Team USA’s roster during their qualification for this year’s FIBA World Cup earlier this year, which was comprised of G Leaguers and free agent players and was helmed by former NBA coach Jeff Van Gundy. The Texas native saw limited time on the floor.

The 24-year-old spent his entire collegiate career at Tulane University where he stayed for five years (Reynolds was redshirted midway through his sophomore season after nine appearances as a result of injury). Reynolds posted 10.1 points on .387/.334/.716 shooting splits, 44.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists across his 135 appearances with the Green Wave over those four-plus years.

Of course, Reynolds joins Bonzie Colson II as the Bucks’ pair of two-way players, leaving them with just two vacant spots on their roster as of this writing (though, the Bucks are doing some work on that front with one of those open spots).

In any event, Reynolds has the makings to be a shrewd addition not only for the Bucks, but with the Wisconsin Herd, where he’ll surely develop his game even further. Welcome to Milwaukee, Cam!
