With the start of the 2019-20 season almost here, it’s time for a closer look at which Milwaukee Bucks could emerge as leaders in the big five stat categories.

With preseason underway and just two weeks remaining until the Milwaukee Bucks start their new season for real against the Houston Rockets, it’s time to really zero in on what the year could have in store for the Bucks.

Mike Budenholzer’s team enter the new season as one of the clear frontrunners to win a championship, and in following up a 60-win season, and a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals, they’ll have a lot of pressure on their shoulders.

Still, there’s no reason to believe the Bucks won’t be incredibly formidable once again. Milwaukee’s success is built around exceptional cohesion as a team, but also an outstanding mix of individuals buying in to those principles.

With individuals of such a high caliber, the Bucks had players rank among the league leaders in the majority of the NBA’s traditional big five stat categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks) last year. Simultaneously, that left a certain intrigue as to who would emerge as the leaders on the Bucks’ roster in each given stat.

With that in mind, I’ve laid out my predictions, reasoning, and top-3 picks for each category among Bucks players heading into the 2019-20 season.
