The Wisconsin Herd notched their fourth straight victory Sunday afternoon as they dismantled the Capital City Go-Go with an incredibly complete performance.
Make that four straight wins for the Wisconsin Herd following their 132-106 rout over the Capital City Go-Go Sunday afternoon at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington D.C.
For the first time this season the Herd were without fourth-year Bucks big man Dragan Bender, which wasn’t a surprise with the Bucks currently on the road after he rejoined the parent club following his latest assignment to the Herd. The same goes for two-way player Frank Mason III, who continues to recover from a left thigh contusion suffered in the Herd’s first meeting against the Go-Go last week.

Both the Go-Go and the Herd got off to decent starts following the opening tip. But the Herd started to outpace the Go-Go as the opening frame wore on as they laid down the foundation for the three-point frenzy they would put on throughout the day.
Holding a 30-20 lead through one, the Herd maintained their double-digit advantage by continuing to decimate the Go-Go’s defense with an incredibly balanced attack that was led by two-way player Cameron Reynolds. As a result, the Herd took a 66-45 lead into the halftime break.
Wisconsin didn’t rest on their laurels to open up the second half as it was Jaylen Adams who took on the role of human flamethrower from beyond the arc. The Go-Go finally heated up from three-point range in an attempt to close down the gap between them and the Herd, but it was to no avail as the Herd held a 106-81 advantage at the end of three.
All there was left for the Herd was to close this one out with no hiccups during the fourth period and they definitely did so by taking their biggest lead of the day at 28 with under 90 seconds left to go.
By going 20-of-45 from downtown on the day, the Herd matched their single-game franchise high for made triples in a game, a mark they set on March 21 during their inaugural season back in 2017-18. That doubled as Xavier Munford‘s single-game scoring record with a 46-point performance in the loss to the Westchester Knicks.
Jaylen Adams led the way in that regard and for all scorers in general as his seven triples fueled his 27-point outing in his return to action after missing the last two tilts. Bucks two-way player Cam Reynolds followed Adams by putting 24 points and four threes, with 20 of his total points coming in the first half alone.
Making his first start of the season, Luke Maye sported his stretch 4 skill-set by finishing with a season-high 22 points and went 5-of-8 from long range. And it was Shannon Bogues who led the Herd’s bench unit with a season-high of his own with 19 points on 10 shots and regularly pushed the pace with the ball in his hands.
All in all, the Herd finished the win out with six players in double figures as D.J. Hogg rounded it all out with a near-double-double performance (11 points, nine rebounds) and it all made for the Herd’s strongest performance collectively a little more than a week into their season.
The Herd will continue their four-game road trip Wednesday night when they take on the Lakeland Magic in the Sunshine State for a 6pm CT.
