With the most road-heavy stretch in their schedule for the season completed, the Milwaukee Bucks return home to host the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday.

The Milwaukee Bucks certainly weren’t lacking in motivation to start the 2019-20 season, as they set off on righting the disappointments of last year’s Conference Finals, but they were facing up to a tough challenge in the early running.

The Bucks have been close to an ever present in terms of strength of schedule early in the season, and even beyond the quality of opponents Milwaukee has faced up until now, they haven’t had the luxury of playing all that many games at home.

As the Bucks return home to host the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, they boast a stellar record of 11-3 in spite of only playing four games in Milwaukee to date.

Unsurprisingly, that leaves the Bucks tied for fewest home games played on the season so far. Given just how unperturbed the Bucks have seemed to be by that fact, their rivals have plenty of reason to be concerned.

Starting with the visit of the short-handed and struggling Trail Blazers that’s all set to change, and Thursday’s game should mark the beginning of an exciting stretch of games for Milwaukee fans who’ve been starved of opportunities to see their team in-person in recent weeks.

With that considered, let’s look ahead to what the matchup with Portland could have in-store, and what you should be watching out for once the action begins.
