Thanks to an otherworldly performance from reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks notched their eighth straight victory Monday night by coming back to defeat the Utah Jazz in a 122-118 win.
It was far from a perfect start for both teams as the Bucks battled through misses while the Jazz endured some early sloppiness of their own. It led to a shaky first quarter for all involved and it resulted in Utah holding a 25-23 edge at the end of one.

The Jazz continued to reinforce their control and took full advantage of the Bucks’ shooting woes, eventually holding their biggest lead of the night (13) at the 3:26 mark in the second quarter.
Milwaukee was able to whittle away at their deficit to trail the Jazz 57-48 going into halftime.
The Bucks went to work quickly to claw their way back into the proceedings, which helped them knot things up at 74 midway through the third period. Utah briefly retook a lead that was quickly overtaken by the Bucks, and Milwaukee finished out the quarter with a scoring flurry to take a 90-83 advantage into the final frame.
The whole fourth quarter was spent with the Bucks holding off the Jazz as Utah managed to tie the contest up on two occasions throughout the period. But Milwaukee didn’t let their control of the lead slip from their grasp, thanks to the incredible outing of Antetokounmpo.
