The Milwaukee Bucks notched their signature victory of the season Friday night as they mowed through the LA Clippers to earn their 14th consecutive victory.

Victories don’t get much better than the one the Milwaukee Bucks tallied Friday night as they rolled through the LA Clippers in a 119-91 win that helped them to earn their 14th straight win.

It took some time for both the Bucks and the Clippers to feel out the game once play tipped off. But after misfiring their first six three-point attempts, the Bucks broke out of their cold spell, thanks to the lift they got from their bench unit, and with the Clippers’ offense grinding to a standstill, Milwaukee held a 30-15 edge at the end of one.

LA came alive to start the second quarter, coming within six of the Bucks at the 8:14 mark of the period. That would be as close as they would come to the Bucks for the rest of the night, though, as the Bucks ramped up their activity on the defensive end, which helped them to take a 52-43 lead into halftime.

It was in the second half when the entire contest was flipped on its head in favor of the Bucks.

Thanks to the boost from 25-year-old superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks gradually started to separate from the Clippers, who increasingly couldn’t hit shots and grew sloppy with the ball. And the contributions grew beyond Antetokounmpo as Ersan Ilyasova packed quite the scoring punch late in the period to help the Bucks take an 87-62 lead through three.

And the Bucks weren’t done as they continued to pour it on the Clippers, eventually forcing head coach Doc Rivers to pull his starters at the 9:25 mark in the fourth quarter. Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer quickly followed suit and the Bucks’ clean up crew put on the finishing touches to their 14th consecutive victory and 10th win at home.

So without further ado, let’s dive into what stood out in the Bucks’ win over the LA Clippers from Friday night, starting with looking at the birthday boy’s performance as well as how the Bucks fared without Antetokounmpo for the night.
