The Milwaukee Bucks are getting set to take on the Philadelphia 76ers for the first time this season as part of the NBA’s marquee Christmas Day slate.

The greatest Christmas gift of all Wednesday afternoon will be getting some Milwaukee Bucks basketball as they will take on the Philadelphia 76ers as part of the NBA’s famed Christmas Day slate.

This marks the first meeting of the season between the two Eastern Conference foes and it comes after the Bucks took last year’s season series by winning two of the three contests they held last year.

Of course, the Bucks continue to be everything and more compared to last year’s squad as they stand as the best team in the NBA with a 27-4 record after rolling through the Indiana Pacers in a 117-89 victory last time out.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, has flatly underwhelmed compared to the high expectations that surrounded them following a packed offseason that was headlined by the free agent addition of Al Horford as well as the big departure of All-Star wing Jimmy Butler.

Even with holding a 22-10 record after taking care of business against the Detroit Pistons on Monday night, the 76ers’ on-court play has fallen well below the potential that led many to believe they could be a team to win it all by the end of this season.

So without further ado, let’s take a deeper look at what could be the Bucks’ heated battle with the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of their Christmas Day showdown.
