It was much closer than they’re used to, but the Milwaukee Bucks started 2020 off with a two-point win against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
It’s only when the Milwaukee Bucks find themselves in a close game down the stretch that you realize just how rare that kind of situation has become for this team.
Accustomed to blowing teams out by double digits, the Bucks had to work a lot harder than that on Wednesday night as a depleted Minnesota Timberwolves squad brought plenty of fight to Fiserv Forum.

Incredibly rough shooting nights for both teams certainly didn’t aid the contest’s watchability, and undoubtedly contributed to the Bucks’ inability to pull away, but that didn’t mean there wasn’t plenty for the defensive purists to admire in this game.
Still, with Giannis Antetokounmpo close to firing on all cylinders, the Bucks had an outlet that was able to provide just enough offense to get them over the line as they held off the Timberwolves by two points.
