The Milwaukee Bucks picked up their fifth straight victory Saturday night as they defeated the San Antonio Spurs in the first contest of their home-and-home set.

Kicking off their home-and-home set, the Milwaukee Bucks took care of business versus the San Antonio Spurs in a 127-118 victory Saturday night at Fiserv Forum.

Both the Bucks and the Spurs kicked off what proved to be a shootout early on in the first quarter, and San Antonio was incredibly willing to let it fly to equal degree as the Bucks do. With LaMarcus Aldridge leading the way with 14 points, the Spurs held a 31-29 edge over the Bucks at the end of one.

The fast-paced, offense-only affair spilled over into the second quarter as both squads traded buckets back and forth with one another.

But the Bucks took control of the contest with a little under six and a half minutes to go until the break, and they wouldn’t relinquish it from that point on in the night, as they took a 71-66 advantage into halftime.

The Spurs continued to ride hot on the Bucks’ tails once play picked back up in the second half as both teams cooled off offensively initially with the break. With that said, the Bucks got the separation they needed as they capped off their third quarter with a buzzer beating three from Ersan Ilyasova to hold a 103-91 lead.

From there, the Bucks briefly held their biggest lead of the game (19) to open up the final frame and comfortably put on the finishing touches to their 32nd victory of the season well before the final buzzer sounded.

So without further ado, let’s break down what stood out in the Bucks’ win over the San Antonio Spurs from Saturday night, starting with the performance of superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
