Starting out their four-game road trip against Western Conference opponents, the Milwaukee Bucks fell to the San Antonio Spurs in a 126-104 defeat Monday night at the AT&T Center.

After the Bucks quickly regained the lead to open up the second quarter, the Spurs stormed back and continued to do damage on the offensive end and from beyond the arc as the Bucks struggled to find consistency on either end of the floor.
That left the Bucks searching for answers as they entered halftime trailing the Spurs 65-52.
Milwaukee attempted to kickstart their second half comeback once play got back underway and were within striking distance of the Spurs repeatedly throughout the third period. But the end-to-end inconsistency prevented them from truly making any headway with their deficit and the Spurs finally countered with a late scoring run to hold a 91-81 advantage through three.
And the Bucks’ comeback quickly stalled out upon entering the final frame as San Antonio continued to hit shots from all levels of the floor and comfortably handed the Bucks their sixth loss of the season well before the final buzzer.
So without further ado, let’s break down what stood out in the Bucks’ loss to the Spurs from Monday night, starting with how the Spurs were able to defend superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo this time around.
