A second half surge from the Denver Nuggets on Friday night left the Milwaukee Bucks with their seventh loss of the season.

The Milwaukee Bucks’ nine-game winning streak came to an ugly end Friday night as the Denver Nuggets handed them a 127-115 loss Friday night at Fiserv Forum.

With the Bucks switching it up with Thanasis Antetokounmpo logging his first NBA start, the league’s best team threw quite the jab toward the sleepless Denver Nuggets by racing out in front to take an early lead. With little defense from both teams throughout the opening quarter, the Bucks held a 43-35 edge at the end of one.

The shootout vibe of the first quarter eventually subsided, and the Bucks maintained their hold on the Nuggets, who searched for ways to find a breakthrough.

As a result, Milwaukee entered the halftime break with a 67-60 advantage.

The breakthrough the Nuggets had been searching for came during the third quarter as they rode their hot 3-point shooting into the second half.

Without any answers, counters or consistency, the Bucks struggled to keep up with the Nuggets and Denver completely turned the tables by taking a 100-91 lead into the final frame.

The Bucks tried to find a way back into the game to spark a comeback, but the Nuggets answered with timely responses all throughout the fourth quarter, with most of those coming from downtown. And down went the Bucks’ losing streak and what ended up being their seventh loss of the year.

So without further ado, let’s explore what stood out in the Bucks’ loss to the Denver Nuggets from Friday night, starting with the Nuggets’ incredible shooting performance.
