In a national TV spectacle highlighted by the clash of two superstars, the Milwaukee Bucks picked up an impressive win against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Milwaukee Bucks hit the road on Tuesday night for a clash against the New Orleans Pelicans that promised, and ultimately delivered, fireworks for NBA fans.

With Zion Williamson having missed the first meeting of the season between the teams, this marked his first meeting with reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. As two of the most athletic and physically imposing players in the entire NBA, the game had the necessary ingredients for an explosive quality that isn’t often seen elsewhere.

That came to pass too, as Antetokounmpo and Williamson frequently went toe-to-toe. Antetokounmpo undoubtedly came out on top in those instances, but Williamson had enough standout moments of his own to create real excitement about how this matchup could evolve in the years ahead.

Outside of the teams’ respective superstars, the Pelicans delivered a performance that left little doubt as to their talent and long-term potential, but the Bucks ultimately proved that they have an entirely different gear they can move into, which makes them the NBA’s very best team right now.

The Bucks pulled away in the second half, and held off the Pelicans’ fourth quarter charge as they picked up their 43rd win of the year in their 50th contest of the season.

With all of that considered, let’s take a closer look at some of the standout takeaways from Tuesday’s Milwaukee win.
