The first piece of Milwaukee Bucks action from Chicago this weekend comes on Friday, when Marc Lasry will take part in his 5th All-Star Celebrity Game.
It will be a busy weekend in Chicago for the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks.
Saturday night will feature Pat Connaughton and Khris Middleton in the Slam Dunk Contest and the Skills Challenge, respectively, while Middleton will then join up with Giannis Antetokounmpo on Team Giannis for Sunday’s All-Star Game.

Not to be forgotten in all of that, though, is that Milwaukee’s All-Star participation will begin on Friday night with the man who has been the franchise’s most consistent representative at the league’s showcase weekend in recent seasons.
Of course, I’m referring to Bucks’ co-owner Marc Lasry, who is making his fifth consecutive appearance in the All-Star Celebrity Game.
Lasry has impressed with his stellar play in the Friday night spectacle over the last few years, although his role has diminished of late due to the Harden-ization of the Celebrity Game. Lasry’s game, which is much more predicated on setting strong screens, dishing out assists to teammates, and orchestrating his team’s play on both ends, has fallen foul to the ISO tendencies that have become central to the game.
Still, the Moroccan Freak can at least take solace in the fact that his team looks to be absolutely stacked this year.
Playing under the guidance of head coach Stephen A. Smith and assistant coach Guy Fieri (!!), Lasry will team up with Migos’ Quavo, who won the game’s MVP award back in 2018, and finished as the leading scorer in last season’s staging too.
Lasry’s team will be captained by Chance the Rapper, and will also include WNBA star A’ja Wilson, former NBA player Darius Miles, along with Lil Rel Howery, Anthony Adams, Taylor Bennett, LaRoyce Hawkins, Ronnie 2K, and Katelyn Ohashi.
Lasry’s opposition will be coached by Mike Wilbon, and Jesse Williams as an assistant, with Common as captain, and Jose Andreas, Jon Batiste, Kane Brown, Bad Bunny, Hannibal Buress, Jidenna, Famous Los, and Alex Moffatt also taking part. Quentin Richardson will be the former NBA player suiting up for this team, while Chelsea Gray will represent the WNBA.
For those looking to tune in to track Lasry’s performance on Friday night, the game will be televised live on ESPN from 7pm ET.
