As the Milwaukee Bucks get set to return to action following the All-Star break, they’ll have to deal with an arduous, road-heavy stretch in their schedule.

Hopefully rejuvenated by the All-Star break, the Milwaukee Bucks will get back into their regular season groove on Thursday on the road against the Detroit Pistons.

With 28 games remaining before the postseason can officially become the league-best Bucks’ sole focus, there are multiple goals that will come toward the forefront as the season progresses. Obviously, the most notable of those is whether the Bucks can maintain their current winning pace and become just the third 70-win team in NBA history.

One other area worth keeping an eye on is the Bucks’ road record, though, and it’s an element of their game that will be strenuously tested over the course of the next three weeks.

Milwaukee is currently tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for fewest road wins on the season to date, having dropped just five games away from Fiserv Forum to this point in the campaign.

At 21-5 on the road, the Bucks look likely to finish the regular season with one of the best records of all-time in that department. It’ll almost certainly be too much of a stretch for them to match the all-time record set by the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors at 34-7, but it would be a major surprise if the Bucks were to find themselves very far away from that mark.

The truth, though, is that the Bucks’ final road record, and their 70-win prospects, may ultimately be determined by how they fare over their next 11 games.

In that stretch, the Bucks will have just three games at Fiserv Forum, and face a number of notable opponents away from home over that span.

Road contests against the Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, and Denver Nuggets will certainly test Milwaukee’s road mettle over that span. For as infrequent as the Bucks’ losses have been this season, it is worth noting that three of their last four defeats have come on the road too.

Based on their overall dominance to this point in the season, the Bucks will likely not be perturbed by the prospect of not getting to spend any extended time at home until mid-March. If they continue to prove their ability to take each game as it comes, their results over this upcoming spell may well take care of themselves too.
