The Milwaukee Bucks brushed aside the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, and continued to assert their dominance as the clear frontrunner in the East.

The Milwaukee Bucks may have had a Christmas to forget against the Philadelphia 76ers, but it’s their opponents who won’t want to remember much of the two meetings between the teams since that point.

The Bucks put on a clinic in front of a primetime Saturday night audience on ABC and a record crowd at Fiserv Forum, shellacking the 76ers for the second time in a month.

That has to be deemed as a major psychological marker laid down by Milwaukee ahead of a potential playoff series, although judging by Philadelphia in this one, they have a lot to figure out before they can even begin to worry about that possibility.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton continued their formidable run of form, with both looking at the peak of the powers that have marked their All-Star seasons to date.

It’s a testament to just how good the Bucks are that this game never really looked in doubt, and they ultimately wrapped up a wire-to-wire victory with minimal fuss.
