The Milwaukee Bucks locked down their sixth straight victory as they swept their three-game season series with the Charlotte Hornets.

Thanks to an all-time performance from superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks pulled out a sluggish 93-85 victory over the Charlotte Hornets Sunday afternoon at the Spectrum Center.

The Bucks were off and running, thanks to Antetokounmpo, and got off to a hot start to establish early control. As the first quarter wore on, though, the Bucks struggled to maintain their offensive rhythm and held a 26-20 edge over the Hornets at the end of one.

Things got worse before they gotbetter for the Bucks as Charlotte took full advantage of Milwaukee’s inconsistency and took their first lead of the day at the 9:44 mark in the second quarter.

It would be a stretch to say the Bucks kicked back into gear with that warning call, but they eventually generated enough buckets to temporarily retake control with a 45-43 lead going into halftime.

Milwaukee shrugged off their first half struggles and got back into a more comfortable rhythm to gain some separation from the Hornets as they briefly flirted with double-digit advantages once again. But Charlotte didn’t back down and as the Bucks took steps backwards near the end of the third quarter, the Hornets came within 2 of the Bucks as they trailed 70-68 through three.

The Hornets continued to put the pressure on the Bucks throughout the fourth quarter. But the Bucks turned to their star, Antetokounmpo, as he scored 14 of the team’s 23 points in the fourth quarter to eventually take their 52nd victory of the season, thanks to his leading contributions.

So without further ado, let’s dig into what stood out in the Bucks’ win over the Charlotte Hornets from Sunday afternoon, starting with the standout showing of superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
