Brook Lopez and Robin Lopez have had their share of struggles for the Milwaukee Bucks this season, but the tandem has found a solid rhythm as of late.

Twin brothers Brook and Robin Lopez have had very different roles in their first season as teammates for the Milwaukee Bucks, but both are contributing immensely. Playing together for the first time since being college teammates at Stanford, the tandem has been stellar.

Brook has had an up and down season on the offensive end but has been putting up numbers at a more consistent rate recently. In his last 10 games, the starting center has averaged 13.2 points per game, and although still lacking consistency with his shooting, he has shown bursts that suggest it’s still possible he could find a more consistent touch before the year is out.

Lopez had a career-year shooting the long ball last year with the Bucks and has been struggling most of this season with hit or miss nights.

The 31-year-old is currently shooting his worst percentage from behind the arc (29.2 percent) since the 2017-18 season, when he shot 34.5 percent. With that being said, hopefully, some of his more recent three-point barrages, such as going 5-of-5 against Orlando, can become sustainable and regular for Lopez moving forward.

A strong start to the month of March has potentially started a trend for Lopez, as he’s already had 16 and 21-point outings. An offensive spark from their center as the postseason approaches would be significant for the league-best Bucks. His ability to knock down shots from behind the arc is critical for the team’s chances of success in the bigger picture.

Aside from his recent revamped play on the offensive end, Brook has been continuing to make his case for the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year award. The big man is averaging 2.0 blocks per game throughout this stretch, adding to his total of 146, best for second in the entire league.

The center has been a force on the defensive end throughout the entirety of this season, but seeing Brook spark some offense lately has been a relief more than anything else.

Brook is not the only Lopez playing well for the Milwaukee Bucks recently, however, as his twin Robin has been thriving off the bench too. Over his last 10 games, the backup center is surprisingly averaging a higher percentage from three than from the field, connecting on 47.6 percent of shots from deep and 47.1 percent field goal shooting.

Robin may only be averaging 5.8 points per game during this run of games, but is doing it efficiently for the most part. The center continues his career year from three-point range, only increasing his percentage in this recent run of games.

Brook and Robin have done a fantastic job playing together this season, allowing the Bucks to have at least one starting-caliber center on the floor at all times. The pair have been known for their defense most of their careers, but this offensive progression with Milwaukee is eye-opening.

Hopefully, Brook can knock down the three-ball consistently and build upon some of his more positive recent offense while making his case for Defensive Player of the Year honors as well. Meanwhile, Robin can also continue providing the team with a reliable reserve to hit some shots when given the opportunity.
