The Milwaukee Bucks will look to avoid their first losing streak of the season as they visit the Denver Nuggets on the second night of a back-to-back.

It’s very well known that the Milwaukee Bucks dropped four consecutive games as their postseason came to an end at the hands of the Toronto Raptors last season, but the Bucks have yet to endure a regular season losing streak under Mike Budenholzer’s guidance.

Milwaukee lost consecutive games just once last season, and as they come into a Monday night meeting with the Denver Nuggets, they find themselves having succumbed to that same fate for the first time this season.

Will Monday become the first time the Bucks have lost three in a row in the regular season in the Budenholzer era?

It’s certainly possible, particularly as Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss out as he continues to nurse his left knee sprain. Still, the Bucks’ record without the MVP has generally been formidable this season, and the Nuggets are far from their imposing best at the moment either.

On that front, Monday’s game will make for a meeting of two of the league’s very best teams, two teams who could potentially end up as Finals opponents, and yet two squads who aren’t necessarily playing up to that standard at this particular moment.

Perhaps that means this won’t be the purest display of what makes the Bucks and Nuggets good, but it could still lead to plenty of entertainment.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the key storylines heading into Monday’s game.
